[mythtv-users] how to tell what encoder a recording used

is there a way to tell what encoder a recording used?  i'm thinking
one of my encoders is on the blink so i'd like to go back through new
and old recordings and see what encoder was used for them.  the
recordings in question may or may not still be in the recorded table.
i'm looking for something like the 'upcoming recordings' page in
mythweb but for already recorded and perhaps deleted recordings.  can
i find this in the database somewhere?
