[mythtv-users] Anyone use a DISH VIP211 and closed captions?

I use a PVR-150 for analog SD capture from a satellite dish. Closed
captions are very important in the household and the PVR-150 has been
doing fine.
I just switched from DirecTV to DISH and chose their VIP211 HD
receiver, thinking ahead to 0.22 and the HD-PVR. For now, I just use
the standard-definition S-video output into the PVR-150. However, I
am getting no VBI-based closed captions, even though they display when
the receiver is directly connected to the TV, so I have to configure
the VIP211 to render the captions, which then get "burned in" to the
recording and of course can't be turned off.
I have asked about this in the ivtv-users list
(http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/users/39963) and these
guys are very helpful. But I was wondering if anyone here has any
positive experience at all with the VIP211 and VBI-based closed
captions, perhaps on hardware other than the PVR-150. I would be
willing to replace the PVR-150 with another myth 0.21 supported
encoder card if that's what it takes.
