[mythtv-users] How to remove lirc 0.8.5-CVS

lircd -v   I get lirc 0..8.5-CVS

Subject: [mythtv-users] How to remove lirc 0.8.5-CVS


While trying to get my IMON remote working I managed to install lirc 0.8.5-CVS.

I want to remove this version and install lirc 0.8.3.

If I sudo apt-get remove --purge lirc

I get Package lirc is not installed, so not removed among other messages.

I'd appreciate any help with reverting to lirc 0.8.3
