[mythtv-users] Transcode Error - Exit Status 0

I'm trying to transcode recordings and I'm getting this error in the logs:

Sixth Man": Medium Quality (exit status 0, job status was "Starting")

Why is mythbackend treating a status 0 as an error?
My transcode command is set to:
ionice -n 7 nice -n 20 mythtranscode -i "%DIR%/%FILE%"

(Note that I don't have any trouble with ionice/nice with mythcommflag 
or anything else myth-related.)
