[mythtv-users] Ubuntu restore & unable to get past "select your preferred language" screen

Mine are all owned by me rather than mythtv. Are you logging in as
user 'mythtv'? Unless you are logging in as user 'mythtv' then you
don't have write permissions on that directory, which could be your
problem. Normally you should log in as a normal user (rather than
mythtv) that is a member of the mythtv group. Then everything in
~/.mythtv should be owned by that user.
