This is getting completely off-topic, but I'm a little surprised that
there isn't a PCI express card that has a PCI Express to PCI bridge, and
a cable that goes to an external box with, perhaps, 4 PCI card slots.
It wouldn't be the best possible performance, but most PCI cards don't
need that much performance anyway.  The same could be done with a PCI
Express switch, for a box with a slew of PCI Express slots.

To get back on topic, something like the above would be nice for an
Atom-based back-end to get a range of tuner cards since those systems
are generally under-speced for card slots.
