Waste is another myth of the anti-nuclear lobby.   Waste disposal is a
solved problem technically.  The only obstacles to waste disposal are
political and in a truly circular problem creation those obstacles are
held in place by the anti-nuclear lobby.

Another obscured fact is that nuclear "waste" is still about 95% fuel.  It
is only "waste" because the impurities have increased to the point where
they interfere with the function of the fuel.   Reprocessing, while
difficult, can turn a power plant-year's worth of "waste" into a lump
which will fit under your desk.   Not that you'd want to keep it there.
