Generic programid's are programid's, so it will have no effect.  
Basically, if 2 programs are being compared and both have a programid, 
the programid is considered the definitive identifier and 
title/subtitle/description are ignored for the purpose of dup matching.

And, by default, generic episodes are always recorded, just in case, so 
dup matching is not performed on generic episodes.  Note that you can 
specifically disable recording generics with the "Exclude generic 
episodes" filter(s).
