While this is of no help to you at all with regard to analysing your
problem.....

I use 4 Nova 500 Dual PCI Cards in the UK to receive UK DVB from
Crystal Palace using a powered splitter from a desktop antenna, I've
never had signal dropout with any of them under normal use.

Is it possible for you to get hold of another unit to run the same
scan tests and check whether you have a faulty unit?
