No, that's a yum peculiarity, the packages just needs some kmdl for
some kernel and yum sees that there are kmdls for 2.6.27 and 2.6.29
and picks one at random.

The package yum-kmdl-plugin helps a bit against this, but the most
direct approach is to use

yum install nvidia-graphics96.43.11-kmdl-`uname -r`

Install yum-plugin-kmdl to not to have to worry about kernel upgrades.
