mvpmc (http://mvpmc.sourceforge.net) is working on things like that,
but progress has been slow due to general lack of interest.  It seems
like the prevailing wind is to prefer running the real mythtv front
end on things like the nVidia Ion platform and not bother with more
limited hardware such as these.
