This means the digital transmission means nothing to you (this only
effects OTA signals) and you will not be able to use a digital capture
card because all satellite signals are digital and also encrypted. The
only device that can decrypt the signal is the satellite receiver. So
your recording will be done with the analog or component outputs of
the satillite box.

If you want to receive HD you will require a hauppage hdpvr. If not
then an analog hauppage pvr 150, 250, or 500 is best. BTW, there is
information in the wiki about this and this subject comes up many
times per year.
