[mythtv-users] Sony 200 disc changer

I got them for $90ea at the Sony Outlet Store by Tulalip Casino in WA.

I personally have a huge issue with ripping my DVD collection to disk and
then running my systems off that disk. The issue is around disk failure and
the considerable amount of time required to re-rip my collection back to
disk. Backing up this amount of data also seems to be a daunting task. My
solution was to buy these changers and load the disks and run my DVD
collection from there. That said, they are still in my garage and my DVD's
are still in my regular DVD changer.

I guess I could rip my DVD's to disk and then back up the ripped files back
to DVD or external drive and then move those off-site in case my disks crash
and I need to re-load my DVD collection back to disk.

Without an automated way to do this it just seems like a huge hassle.

I am sure others have figured out how to do this well and I am sure I will
get lots of suggestions on how to improve my plan. Bring them on! If someone
has a better idea I'll use it and sell off my changers on Craigslist for
what I paid for them.
