[mythtv-users] PC-DVR as internet platform

I am developing a system for people who have no home internet access, no
computer, who watch over-the-air television in the U.S.
The idea is to have a PC running DVR software with unlimited internet access
financed with skip-able directed television commercials. The initial plan
would be for standard definition output.

The current configuration:
Operating System: Ubuntu (with openoffice.org)
DVR software:  MythTV with add-ons for uploading DVR control data and
downloading directed advertising
Desktop with motherboard with integrated graphics (eg ASUS P5N-EM)
Internal hybrid tuner card (eg Hauppauge HVR 1600)
2  gb RAM
250 gb internal SATA drive
56K modem
Wireless remote
Optional keyboard, mouse, monitor

I would appreciate any feedback about the system, hardware, software, etc.
