Unfortunately, that log does have much useful information in it.  You
can adjust which categories mythbackend puts in the log by doing "-v
<category>".  To find out what categories are available, try
"mythbackend -v help".  Avoid the "all" and "timestamp" categories,
because they slows myth down so much that it causes it's own set of
problems.

If you want to find out what kind of information is generated for each
category, take a look at the source code.  For example, the HD-PVR
recorder code can (partially) be found in mpegrecorder.cpp

Once you get more useful information in the log, it may be obvious
what your problem is.

BTW, has this every worked for you?  If it has never worked, you
probably don't have the capture device setup correctly in
mythtv-setup.
