Personally I have never done a rescan and it has been many months
since I did my initial install.  To do it the exact same way I would
reinstall Myth from a clean disk but I know for sure I don't need to
go that far.  I think I could do it by just deleting all the hardware
and schedules direct and connections and starting from there.  Perhaps
I can just click on scan and that will work.  Maybe something between
like you say you believe setting Existing Channel Delete.  I do
remember that I found many ways that did not work when I did the first
scan and had to delete everything and start over.  I want to avoid
that as much as possible.

I hope someone who has actually done a rescan recently will chime in.
I assume there are many others in the same position so it would
benefit many people to have step by step instructions for a rescan
since we are all going to have to do it soon if we have reception OTA.
