[mythtv-users] Wierd blur/corruption at the bottom when playing video

I've seen something similar on videos that I've captured from VHS
tape.  I assumed that the distortion was a feature of the VHS machine
and that the capture was grabbing the whole frame, including the bits
a TV would hide in the overscan??

I haven't bothered to fix it.  If I had a file important enough I'd try ...

 - transcoding and cropping the bottom of the image
 - turning up the overscan on playback.
