OK, I found it. For people with mythbuntu 8.10 installs, you need to edit
the theme.xml file located in the theme's directory. So for me, it was:

/usr/share/mythtv/themes/MythCenter/theme.xml

Here's what I added to that file:


 <buttondef name="BOXEE">
    <image>ui/button_off.png</image>
    <watermarkimage>watermark/boxee.png</watermarkimage>
    <offset>0,0</offset>
  </buttondef>
