[mythtv-users] Start MythTV on Display I want (and if not there, next one I want)

I'm confused (too) by what you are doing.

I used a dvi switch for a while (3 different devices like you) on Nvidia
card.  I just restarted X and the new device ran fine.

PS are these separate video cards or three devices plugged into the
three outputs of one card (I can imagine a device on each of DVI,
TV-OUT and VGA of a typical nvidia card)
