as an aside (and maybe it was just me) I used dvgrab on my firewire
camera once since I wasnt in front of a windows machine at the time.
when I moved the grabbed files over to windows adobe premier wouldnt
recognize them as good videos. I had to reimport the video from the
camera under premier. which may or may not be what the OP had in mind.
