FWIW I found mythweb about the most convenient for setting this up.

I'd also recommend taking a backup of your channels and transponders*
tables (or at least your channels table) as when you accidentally
click 'Delete all channels' in mythtv-setup at 1 in the morning just
before you're about to go to bed, the shouting wakes the neighbours.
;)

I use mysqladmin on windows, and this allows you to do a full backup
and then selectivly restore tables should you need to. Loosing a
carefully ordered and set up channel list is very very frustrating.

(In my defence I do backup my myth DB, but I use replication.... which
had handily replicated the TRUNCATE TABLE....)
