[mythtv-users] Trying to get a TV signal into myth-tv using Haupauge Nova-T 500

Ok, got a bit further, but NO playing window is popping up, even if
everything seems to be
working according to the output on the terminal:

helge at myth:~$ mplayer dvb://NRK2
MPlayer 1.0rc2-4.3.2 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz (Family: 6, Model: 23,
Stepping: 7)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1
Compiled with runtime CPU detection.

Playing dvb://NRK2.
dvb_tune Freq: 706000000
TS file format detected.

Any clue as to why? Maybe the same reason that refuse me from seeing
anything in the mythtv
viewer even if signal is OK (mpeg4 encoding??)

Is the renderer engine that is used in mplayer the same as in mythtv?

Best regards,
Helge Fredriksen
