[mythtv-users] LIRC: mode2 works but irw stuttering

Unfortunately things did not change. Even sitting in complete darkness, irw
catches a command only every now and then.
A strange thing is that there are very few periods of about 30 seconds where
it almost works as expected (irw reacting immedately on nearly every key
press). But then, it's all the same again.

I really don't know what to do. A mythbox without remote is somewhat
useless. Perhaps I uninstall LIRC (was included in Mythbuntu) and try to
compile it on my own. It cannot get worse ...

Anyway, thanks for your reply!

Any further hint would be very much appreciated. Are there special things I
have to pay attention to when removing LIRC from Mythbuntu and compiling it
from scratch? (I have some Linux experience but never needed to compile
something on my own.)
