Things change completely if you are trying to match output mode to
source. Theoretically if you play 1080i using a 1080i mode line -
allowing your TV to do the deinterlacing - then Interlaced should
be perfect, and all others will just degrade the picture. (That's
Interlaced in it's original form without Mark's patch).

I say theoretically because possibly there is no current hardware
configuration that allows you to try this: nVidia cards apparently
cannot produce interlaced output correctly, and if you use ATI
cards with the radeon driver, you have no OpenGL support.

We really need a software version of "Interlaced".
