Hi guys,

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but I promised to keep you posted on the
KPN situation in the Netherlands when I got my STB.
I managed to borrow an old hub (16 ports no less). After I soldered an old
notebook adapter to the power plug I was good to go.
Following Robert's excellent pointers, I had the UDP stream found in no time
using Wireshark.
After that it took a long while to figure out how to actually read that
stream since it wont read it as long as my wifi is online.. ??
Taking the wifi offline, the stream finally did open in mplayer.

The news is good: *it's playing*. Or at least, I think it is. Watching a
Champions League game, I'm seeing a screen with a bit of green and a lot of
artifacts. The sound is stuttering like crazy. Mplayer manages to tell me:

           ************************************************
**** Your system is too SLOW to play this! ****
           ************************************************

My 3 year old notebook may be a bit on the slow side by now, but I had
expected it to run.. Maybe it's the ATI drivers again.
Anyway. It seems that the KPN stream is not encrypted, and it is likely that
the MythTV tuner will be able to open it!
Now to get that HTPC installed. When that happens I'll get back to you with
a config file for KPN iTV.

Greetz,
Jasper
