 From what I've seen (Using HDHomeRun) is that channels are numbered as 
they are found in Myth.  If your skipping encypted channels, then the 
next unencrypted channels will be the next in line.  For example:

73#1 (Clear) maps to 73#1
73#2 (Crypt) skipped
73#3 (Clear) maps to 73#2

And so on.
