Run sudo make, and sudo make install) of the wiki guide...thank you for your support. But I have a new problem with the step..."14. do a ls /dev/l* you should see 2 lcd devices and 2 lirc devices."I see only this:root at video:~$ ls /dev/l* /dev/log /dev/loop1 /dev/loop3 /dev/loop5 /dev/loop7 /dev/loop0 /dev/loop2 /dev/loop4 /dev/loop6 root at video:~$my dmesg: root at video:~$ dmesg | grep lirc [ 18.079102] lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 61 [ 18.098629] lirc_imon: Unknown symbol lirc_unregister_driver [ 18.099082] lirc_imon: Unknown symbol lirc_register_driver root at video:~$ >This is not good. Did you follow the output during make and make install? Did you see any other errors?I don't find any error during make and make install Do you want that I post it ?> Did you reboot after moving lirc_imon.ko and lirc_dev.ko to the correct directories? In the guide... sudo cp /lib/modules/`uname -r`/misc/lirc* /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/ubuntu/lirc/lirc_imon/.I tried sudo cp /lib/modules/`uname -r`/misc/lirc_imon.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/ubuntu/lirc/lirc_imon/. sudo cp /lib/modules/`uname -r`/misc/lirc_dev.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/ubuntu/lirc/lirc_dev/.

This is the correct one. Unless you have a /lib/modules/`uname -r`/updates/dkms/ folder where older lirc modules might be (older than your cvs checkout, but newer than the original distribution versions).

> now I received this:root at video:~# dmesg | grep lirc [ 12.976939] lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, major 61 [ 13.018449] lirc_imon: Unknown parameter `islcd' [ 13.081467] lirc_imon: Unknown parameter `islcd' [ 16.718409] lirc_imon: Unknown parameter `islcd' root at video:~#

No idea.
