What I was really looking for was a low profile card with HDA audio. I
finally found one but again I am sure not what you are looking for.

Out of curiosity, what are you hoping to get out of a new sound card when
all you are doing is passing the data through it and bypassing all the hard
stuff in the card. Perhaps fewer interrupt conflicts? I guess what you
need to do is contact the people who thought this was important and find out
why.
