It might work for an HD-PVR. The max bitrate on that is about 15Mbps I
think.. Even G might work if you have a nice clean 2.4Ghz channel to
play on. For wired, I found this with google:

50m USB over CAT5 extender. Is that enough distance for you?

I have found wireless to suck for HD media, personally. I don't know
if it's that I have too much RF interference or what, but I get
dropouts. It's trying to stream, and can't re-transmit. So if you get
an error, that's it, you're stuck with it. I stick with wired for such
applications, it's just more reliable.

I checked the user guide for that Belkin device. Interesting. It's
wired, I don't know where they get wireless from. You can talk to the
devices from a computer connected to the network with wireless, but it
doesn't do wireless internally. It also mentions that you need special
drivers installed on the OS you want to use the devices from, and only
mentions Windows XP and Vista 32-bit. Is there a Linux driver for this
thing?
