Yes I am getting 50Hz. GPU scaling is disabled and my TV (Samsung 50"
plasma) displays the resolutin/freq in the top corner during sync. THe
PC boots at 60Hz and then switches once X starts.

I am considering trialling 60Hz to see if it improves
