Turns out the massive dropped packet count is simply due to a 8111C driver
bug that misreports that count.
The corruption seems to have been greatly reduced, though, by following a
tip earlier in this thread to move my wireless router away from the HDHR
units... Odd. Seems like this shouldn't happen if shielding best-practices
are followed, but what do I know.
Problem 99% solved (or it seems to be for now), and that's enough to push
this down my priority list quite a bit :)
