[mythtv-users] ipaq as a frontend remote control

Thanks for the input. I was able to get MythControl [1] working. As
stated at the bottom of the wiki, the PDA interface is kind of clunky.
Buttons appear on the screen and being a touch screen, you'd think
you could click on them :) Since it was written for a smartphone, the
buttons have numbers associated with them. Pressing those buttons on
the "virtual keyboard" the PDA has makes them function. The joystick
however does control up/down/left/right so I'm able to navigate
through the shows easily through that.

On the server side (there's a pass-thru server component that parses
commands to the mythfrontend tcp interface) I removed the bluetooth
components since I didn't have the headers installed. Everything is
working fine by doing so.

On my ipaq I had to change my battery power settings as when the wlan
connection is torn down, you need to stop and restart MythControl on
the ipaq. This caused a lot more time and clicking when I really just
wanted to fast forward 30 seconds :) Each time it would turn off, I'd
have to wait for the wlan connection to setup again too.

Thanks Axel for publishing your work!
