I'm trying to remove commercials following the script at . However the
commercials remain. Please help me understand what steps I might be
missing.
I start with this file:
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 4855732228 Feb 14 07:57
/tv2/record/2401_20090203210100.mpg
I use the frontend to mark commercials and create a cutlist:
mythcommflag --getcutlist -f /tv2/record/2401_20090203210100.mpg
2009-02-14 08:21:56.878 Using runtime prefix = /usr
2009-02-14 08:21:56.899 Empty LocalHostName.
2009-02-14 08:21:57.019 New DB connection, total: 1
2009-02-14 08:21:57.036 Closing DB connection named 'DBManager0'
2009-02-14 08:21:57.041 New DB connection, total: 2
Cutlist:
0-896,19457-23388,69559-75306,95427-99059,134951-140382,173228-184232,208510-212498
Then I run this to cut commercials:
mythtranscode --honorcutlist --showprogress -i
/tv2/record/2401_20090203210100.mpg
2009-02-14 08:14:21.324 Using runtime prefix = /usr
2009-02-14 08:14:21.369 Empty LocalHostName.
2009-02-14 08:14:21.456 New DB connection, total: 1
2009-02-14 08:14:21.472 Closing DB connection named 'DBManager0'

<snip>
2009-02-14 08:17:05.131 96.9% complete
$
Yet the resulting file is actually a bit larger and still contains all
the commercials.
-rw-r--r-- 1 mythtv mythtv 4855830532 Feb 14 08:17
/tv2/record/2401_20090203210100.mpg.tmp
I'm using 0.21-fixes and this particular file is a 720p ATSC recording.
I have also had the same problem on a 1080i ATSC recording. I have both
a HDHR and a pcHDTV 3000 tuner and could not tell you from which tuner
these were recorded (if it matters). I have not tried with any
recordings captured via S-Video in on my PVR-250.
Thanks,
Drew
