Hi,
I have had my CentOS 5.2 running perfect for some time. Today none of
my recording started and i logged into it over ssh.
Initially i noticed one drive could not be read (/tv/d2) and the / was
completely full!
I have my /var on the root partition. (i know shouldn't of done that)
but thats how i have it and cant fix it now with out a huge pita.
Any how, i say that my /var/log/messages was over 2.5 GB in size! Yikes!
Doing a tail -n 50 on messages i see im getting this:
Feb 9 20:18:07 mythfe kernel: lirc_serial: ignoring spike: 1 1
4990e3c5 4990e3c5 f2b36 f13b1

Several every second. I have no idea where lirc_serial is coming
from. I dont have it loaded!
[root at mythtv log]# cat /etc/modprobe.conf
alias eth0 forcedeth
alias scsi_hostadapter sata_nv
alias scsi_hostadapter1 usb-storage
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-card-0 index=0
options snd-hda-intel index=0
remove snd-hda-intel { /usr/sbin/alsactl store 0 >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
; }; /sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove snd-hda-intel
#Lirc
alias char-major-61 lirc_mceusb2
alias md-personality-3 raid1
# nvidia kernel module
I read online somewhere about nvidia and VSync was conflicting. Any ideas?
Please help. As of now i might set up a cron job to delete that file
every 5 mins.
On another note, I also am having this happen to one of my storage drives:
[root at mythtv ~]# ls /tv/d2
ls: reading directory /tv/d2: Input/output error
Ideas on this?
Thanks,
Mitchell
