I've often thought of offering a service but I don't think
its viable as a source of income - the sort of margins
needed would price it way out of what most people consider
reasonable - they want consumer devices. Plus ongoing
support would be a headache.

The exception might be the high end market where price
matters less than performance and flexibility.
