Hi all,

Last time I checked the build in channel scanner in myth .21 had some significant problems gathering channels from a QAM channel scan. If I remember correctly, if the channel's first sub channel is encrypted, myth will discard the channel all together, regardless if there are unencrypted sub channels. I did read another theory that suggested that myth rejected multiple channels having the same number ( aka 0.0) on the same multiplexer. Is there an update on this? Has this been fixed?

Comcast/Portland is moving their extended basic channels 30~70 to unencrypted QAM. I will be highly motivated to rescan very soon. Plus Comcast has a nasty habit of moving these channels around a lot so I'll need to rescan regularly. Rescans are so painful and are a very manual process.

I did see an interesting thread to help on the silicon dust forum. They are trying to use the silicon dust db and insert it into the mythdb with xmltvid numbers from schedualdirect.

Thanks,
