[mythtv-users] Mplayer, Vobsub, and rar

Ok so I've recently decided to rip most of my DVD's to xvid with an avi
container with dvd::rip (basically since i've had kids and they've um
scratched a couple discs) and me and my wife like to watch tv/movies with
subtitles (no we're not hard of hearing per say but starting years ago I
would watch tv while she slept so got used to them, and now she's always
nervous about waking up the kids) anyways, if they are forced subtitles
(like in Star Wars) I just have them rendered directly onto the movie.
However, I also extract the subtitles to the vobsub format. Now the mplayer
command from a terminal to play this sub is: mplayer -vobsub Movie
-vobsubid 0 Movie.avi (aslong as Movie is the name of the .rar and/or sub
file). Now what I do is compact the idx/inf/sub file into a rar. What I
haven't been able to figure out is the mythtv command line to run this. I
have search the mailing list to no avail. I know it's staring me in the
face and i'm just doing a little something wrong. I know the %s is the
filename, but I haven't figured out how to take the %s and subtract .avi
from it.
