Run the nvidia-settings X application and look for the Thermal
Settings sections.  For my ION, it gives the Slowdown Threshold as
95C.  I tested this by putting the ION board in a closed cardboard box
with no air circulation and playing back an HD-PVR program at 2x
timestretch for about 30 minutes.  The reported temperature got into
the low 90s but everything seemed fine.
