I have 11 Spinpoint F1's 500GB, 1TB & one 1.5TB, one 500GB failure in ~five years, full purchase price refunded once Samsung got the drive. I have various Seagate, WD & Hitachi's too, two out of two Seagate 500GB's died, out of warranty, Hitachi randomly loses it's partition table but is ok after a raid rebuild, WD's are ok so far....

I buy Samsung's when I get a choice.

BTW the 1.5TB samsung is the slowest drive i have and it will easily record a HD stream while playing HD, don't have enough HD sources to know about multiple simultaneous recordings.
