I have a combined FE/BE with a Athlon X2 4850e (2.5GHz 45W) and a AMD
780G motherboard.  Using the radeonhd drivers from git, I have no
problem playing 720p/1080i MPEG-2 content on my 1080p HDTV.  I cannot
vouch for the system's H.264 performance, as I have never tired to
play such content.
