I have an asus en8400gs and a palit 9500gt (fanless).

The 8400 does fine, but the 9500GT is almost just as cheap (here in
AU) and gives you advanced2x in all input resultions.  It's worth the
extra little bit of cash IMO.

The palit 9500GT ALSO has an SPDIF passthrough internal connector, so
if you're already using digital sound you can pass it through the hdmi
cable if you so choose.
