Has anyone gotten the Hauppauge 950Q USB capture stick to work through
VirtualBox?
I had MythTV working on an Intel DG45FC running Fedora 10, the 950Q USB
stick for ATSC capture, and StevenToth's 950Q firmware. Ok, ok, playback
isn't really there yet for want of a graphics driver, but the capture
process worked perfectly.
I reconfigured the same machine to Windows XP and installed VirtualBox
2.2.2. I installed Fedora 10 under VirtualBox and used the USB capture
feature of VirtualBox to get to the 950Q.
Neither Kaffeine nor MythTV is able to scan for channels running under the
virtual Fedora 10 system. Kaffeine finds an ATSC channel or two on each
scan, but the channels it finds vary. Also, none of the channels Kaffeine
finds plays anything.
Am I running into a timing problem, a glitch in VirtualBox's virtual USB, or
something else?
Has anyone gotten the Hauppauge 950Q to work with a virtual system?
