[mythtv-users] Moire effect only with internal player

I have a few videos that show moire effects, e.g. on fly-by scenes  
with skyscrapers etc. But only if I use the internal player, that I'm  
otherwise quite happy with. If using mplayer, I don't see this effect.
What's the reason, and how can solve this without switching to mplayer?
