[mythtv-users] Listing of recordings past

I had to rebuild my dB, so I started from scratch. Now I have a
working BE, yet I have recordings *in my recordings directory) that
don't show up in MythTV's Recording listings. Of course this would be
the case because the dB is new.

However,  I thought there was a way to get these orphans listed in the
Recordings list. But, I can't find this procedure anywhere. Anyone
have a pointer?
