There are two problems in this area. One is the rounding problem you
mention, the other is MythTv interpreting interlaced display modes
as 30Hz rather than 60Hz (or 25/50 for PAL). If it's the latter then
have a look at Ticket #2903. The patch in Ticket #2903 may not work
if your modeline doesn't explicitly have the "interlace" key word.
I'm not sure what you should do in that circumstance.

If you get this working, you should be able to use yadif and you'll
see a huge difference. You may also want to look at Ticket #6391.
Under the right conditions that'll beat yadif.
