[mythtv-users] HDHR working but channel mapping is incorrect

JS and Andrew,
Thanks for the responses they are helpful.

I'll give this a try tomorrow if I can get access to the server at
the right time of day. It's always so busy on weekday evenings that it
makes it hard to do this work except for a few hours over the weekend.

One question about channels numbers which just aren't registering
for me. Let's take as an example the CW network since I seemed to find
everything for that channel. With analog TV on Comcast that's channel
12 here in the South Bay. In the application that runs under Windows
it tells me that the CW is on channel 89-10. (with a higher
resolution version on 79-2 or 44.1.) In Myth I can tune to 89#10.

So my problem is what channel number do I give the standard
resolution CW channel?

12 - analog number
89#10 - HDHR tunes this OK

Or am I supposed to give it my own number, like 12.5, keeping it
aligned with it's analog counterpart? Will Myth be able to tune the
HDHR hardware if I change the channel number to 12.5? I'm probably
misunderstanding your suggestion. I feel like there a web site
somewhere that I just haven't read...

Thanks,
Mark
