If you think your database is corrupt then you can still try to back
it up and do a restore. The restore doesn't just copy the data over.
It actually reissues mysql commands to rebuild the database. So
depending on the type of corruption doing a restore may fix things. I
don't really know anything about mysql apart from my experience with
myth, so you can take that with a grain of salt. Others may correct me
if I am wrong about that.
