Beyond:

you shouldn't need to go rooting around the DB.  You're much better off 
just using the setup/settings portions of Myth to find the setting 
that's not right.

But the first question should be, "Did you restart all the 
backends/frontends/mythjobqueues/etc after setting, 'Run Jobs only on 
original recording backend'?"
