No. I've been running an hvr-1800 for over a year with myth. That card has
NO output capability, just input. (It'll take analog in and mpegify it, if
you want. Never bothered to try that, though.)

Not sure what you're saying here, but the 1800 is capable of receiving more
than one muxed stream on a transport at a time.
