[mythtv-users] Getting OT - Does my CPU need replacing?

Some things to check:

1) Did you reconnect the CPU fan?
2) Is the CPU fan turning?
3) Are you sure the HSF is securely installed?

Bottom line, you almost certainly still have a thermal problem.  With any
luck, you just need a new fan.
